Abstracting and Indexing

Tehqeeqat

It is a local indexing service developed indigenously. Many research journals published in Pakistan, particularly in local languages, are indexed in Tehqeeqat. HEC also recognizes the indexing of a journal in Tehqeeqat. We have started the processing of indexing in Tehqeeqat.

All the research journals that are approved by HEC and are included in the HJRS are included in the Tehqeeqat Index.

Open Academic Journals Index-OAJI

The Current Global Index of the Journal (CGIJ) OAJI is created taking into account the current global trends and challenges in the field of indexing the scientific journals. CGIJ OAJI considers the scientometric citation databases (WoS, Scopus), as well as the basic database of open access (DOAJ). JIESS will be indexed in OAJI once the requirements will be fulfilled.

  1. It is made an attempt to combine the database of open access with the ranking by value CGIJ on OAJI platform.
  2. The maximum value of CGIJ OAJI is 1, 000
  3. The value of CGIJ consists of the following indicators:
    1. The journal that does not load its articles and is indexed nowhere has the CGIJ 0, 000 (Such journal may be excluded from the database)
    2. The journal, which uploaded more than 10 of its articles, and indexed nowhere — 0, 101
    3. The journal, which uploaded over 100 of its articles and indexed nowhere — 0, 201
    4. The journal, which uploaded more than 500 of its articles and indexed nowhere — 0, 350
    5. The journal is indexed in DOAJ + 0, 150 to the CGIJ
    6. The journal is indexed in Scopus + 0, 250 to the CGIJ
    7. The journal is indexed in ISI + 0, 250 to the CGIJ

Open-access database, OAJI (Open Academic Journals Index), was established on Jule 4, 2013. Conceived in 2013 as a database for scientific journals, it was developed in 2014 into a full-text platform for the submission of peer-reviewed papers as well. The database is serviced by Cherkas Global University’s research information lab. JIESS is in the process of getting indexed in OAJI.

Directory of Open Access Journals-DOAJ

DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high-quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. All DOAJ services are free of charge, including being indexed. All data is freely available.

Directory of Open Access Journals-DOAJ is an indexing and abstracting service for scholarly open access journals. The Higher Education Commission-HEC of Pakistan recognizes DOAJ indexing. Therefore, if a research journal listed in DOAJ is delisted, it is also removed by HEC from HEC’s Journal Recognition System-HJRS.

Journals of 80 different languages are indexed in DOAJ. DOAJ covers research journals of 130 countries. In total, approximately 18,000research journals are included in the database of DOAJ, out of which more than 12,000 journals do not have Article Processing Charges-APCs. Therefore, this directory has about 7.4 million articles with open access to all the viewers. JIESS has started working on fulfilling the requirement of indexing in OAJ.
